Weekend Agenda

This may be one of my last four-days weeks, so I'm hoping to really savor it. Joel's leaving for a one-night trip to LA where he will hopefully meet Adam Carolla as well as take in a comedy show. I have a small project to work on for Sustainable Connections, a 401(k) meeting at the office tomorrow, and a birthday celebration tomorrow night. I'm also hoping to:

1) Brainstorm ideas for an art project along these lines:

(From Design Sponge)

I'm a glutton for text-as-art. I already have a trillion words-only snippets framed, but I’m really crazy for that huge, overwhelming slab of plywood…;

2) Finally narrow down what it is I want to make for Thanksgiving. This year, my friend Ashley is hosting dinner at her house in Port Angeles. Our mothers and their male companions, her grandparents, husband and daughter will all be in attendance. It’s rather unconventional, but I’m so looking forward to it;

3) Stock up on kale and butternut squash, per usual, at the Farmer’s Market;

4) Rent one or two movies that Joel would never be interested in sitting through – I’m thinking of Fellini’s Amarcord, in particular;

5) Make meatballs. I’ve recently spotted some of the chicken variety, and some made from pork (with a tasty sounding yogurt dressing) and have been craving them all week.

  1. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Steph! We're headed to Livingston to hang with Colleen, Zane, and Roden (he says my name now!!!)

    By the way, I made a vegan version of those Raspberry Crumb Breakfast Bars you suggested....Um, they didn't last long. :)

    Love, Shelley
